Sperm donation Australia: 100 women keen to have baby with Adam Hooper specimen

He’s the super sperm donor who’s travelled across the country making deposits, with more than 100 Queensland women contacting him, and one travelling from as far away as Cairns to be there for his in-and-out flying Brisbane visit.

Prolific sperm donor Adam Hooper has declared his fly-in visit to Brisbane a huge success as he reveals he donated to eight women over his 10-day stay.

More than 100 Queensland women contacted the Perth man after reading in The Sunday Mail of his sperm donation mini tour, and 70 of the state’s men were recruited to his Sperm Donation Australia Facebook page as donors.

“One woman even flew down from Cairns for my visit. The meeting I organised for the Saturday afternoon was great and went on for three hours with many people coming and going, several of the male donors came down,” he said.

“The women all spoke to different donors but they all seemed to become besties with the other women and there was a lot of friend requests and number swapping going on,” he said.

Mr Hooper arrived in Auckland New Zealand on Monday for a similar tour and made his first donation there within hours.

He had planned to make only four donations in Brisbane but extended the number to eight when he was faced with massive demand.

The Sunday Mail revealed Mr Hooper’s plan for his unregulated and highly unusual sperm donation tour.

The WA man is a father of two and has more than 20 donor-conceived children.

He visited Brisbane this month to provide an instant sperm specimen to strangers who are ovulating during his 10-day stay.

His hope is to create a unique mothers’ group where the women can meet up for support and the children can get to know each other.

The DIY baby tour was part of a rising number of women who are prepared to ditch high-cost conventional clinics that are dealing with donor shortages to seek out private donors.

Mr Hooper takes the unconventional step of allowing his sperm donor children to contact him at any time rather than wait until the age of 18 like clinic donors.

Donors do not receive payment for deposits, it is illegal in Australia to accept payment for sperm. Expenses can be covered.
