Erin McNaught has showcased the brutal toll filming new reality series SAS: Who Dares Wins had on her body.

After returning home to Brisbane, the 38-year-old model and former Miss Universe Australia shared an image to her Instagram account showing severe bruising on her arm and chest.

McNaught said she sustained the injury jumping incorrectly out of a helicopter.

“No, that’s not dirt. It’s bruising (The strip of unbruised flesh is where my sports bra was!),” McNaught said alongside the photo.

“Apparently water is just as hard as concrete when your jump out of a helicopter goes wrong.”

The highly anticipated Channel 7 series, which will air in October will see some of Australia’s biggest stars attempt to take on the SAS selection process in the ultimate physical and mental test.

Other cast members include Schapelle Corby, Nick Cummins, Candice Warner and Roxy Jacenko.

Filming had begun earlier this year in Queenstown, New Zealand, however, moved to the Snowy Mountains, New South Wales, due to international travel restrictions.

McNaught’s husband, English rapper husband Example, real name Elliot Gleave, recently shared a post to Instagram when it was confirmed she was taking part in the show.

“I am beyond proud of her dedication, focus and drive in the build up to this,” he said.

“A lot of people know she’s a model, actress and an amazing mum … Finally the world gets to really see how strong my best mate is – mentally and physically.

The couple live in Brisbane with their two young sons, Evander, five, and Ennio, two.
