Fire crews have responded to a ferocious fire at a Gold Coast storage facility on Monday afternoon.
Parts of the Yatala industrial area have been evacuated after the blaze broke out about 3.10pm.
Several crews responded to the fire at Enterprise Pl near Sandy Creek Rd.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said there were several trucks on fire and 11 fire crews were on scene.
He said the fire was not spreading, but there had been smoke across the area, so people from nearby businesses were evacuated.
Trucks and storage containers were seen to be engulfed on scene.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said no patients have required assessment at the industrial fire that ignited several truck trailers.
“The fire is now extinguished as paramedics remain on standby at the scene,” he said.
More to come.
