Driver freed from wreckage after car rolls on Sunshine Coast
A person has been rushed to a Sunshine Coast hospital with “significant” arm injuries after their car rolled on a busy Sunshine Coast intersection.

A person has been hospitalised after their car rolled on a busy Sunshine Coast road, prompting an emergency response to free them from the wreckage.
The incident occurred at the roundabout connecting David Low Way and Maroochydore Noosa Rd shortly before 2pm.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said crews were called to the scene and worked to extract the driver from the overturned vehicle.
Once freed, paramedics assessed the patient, who was reportedly suffering arm injuries.
“We did have three paramedic units attend,” a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.
“On scene, they treated a person with significant arm injuries and transported that person in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.”
Initial reports suggested the driver was a man, although this has not been confirmed.
Young boy falls from rocks into hinterland waterfall
A young boy has been rushed to hospital with back injuries after he fell off rocks into a popular Sunshine Coast hinterland waterfall, just days after a double tragedy at another coastal falls.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said three crews were going to Gardners Falls at Maleny on the Sunshine Coast Thursday morning.
She said there were reports of a person falling off rocks at the popular hinterland falls.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said they were called to the scene at 10.06am after someone had fallen off rocks and into water at the popular falls.
A paramedic spokeswoman said the primary-school aged boy had suffered back injuries but was otherwise in a stable condition.
She said he was out of the water and had been rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
This comes just days after two teenagers died at Wappa Falls on the Sunshine Coast.
It is understood the Beau Liddell and Honor Ward drowned after Honor slipped into the water at Wappa Falls on Sunday afternoon, with Beau jumping in afterwards to save her.
