Driver dies after Brisbane crash

A man has died after his car struck a tree in Brisbane’s south on Sunday.

A man has died after his car struck a tree in Brisbane’s south on Sunday.

The crash happened on Old Cleveland Rd, Belmont, near the Gateway Motorway on-ramp about 12.45pm.

A 53-year-old Capalaba man was trapped in his vehicle and died at the scene.

Four paramedic units and the police Forensic Crash Unit attended the scene.

It comes after a motorcyclist in his 20s was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash in Milton on Saturday night.
