Driver crashes into ditch on Eumundi Kenilworth Rd, Belli Park

A driver is being treated by paramedics after a terrifying crash into a ditch on a Sunshine Coast road.

An elderly driver was trapped in his car following a crash down a ditch on a busy rural Sunshine Coast road.

Emergency crews were called to Eumundi Kenilworth Rd in Belli Park about 12.45pm on July 25 following reports a car had driven down an embankment and crashed into a ditch.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said firefighters arrived at the crash about 1.10pm where they found the driver trapped in the car.

The spokesman said it took about 10 minutes to remove him.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the driver, a man in his 90s, was being treated for shoulder pain and in a stable condition.

Paramedics were still looking over him at the crash, she said.
