Bushland Beach altercation: Hunt for woman after pair stabbed during argument

Police are searching for a woman after two others were left with stab wounds following an altercation on in a beachside suburb.

Police are searching for a woman after a violent altercation left two women hospitalised with stab wounds in the early hours of May 17.

The stabbings are thought to have occurred about 2:50am following a verbal argument between the three women at a home on Daintree Drive in the Townsville suburb of Bushland Beach.

A 43-year-old woman and a 38-year-old woman were taken to Townsville University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, with the former expected to require surgery to her hand.

The third woman fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.

A subsequent search of the area assisted by the Dog Squad failed to locate her.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
