An 11-year-old boy is in hospital with significant burns to his face and upper body following an incident involving fire in a backyard on Brisbane’s southside overnight.

An 11-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital with significant burns following an incident involving fire in the backyard of a home on Brisbane’s southside overnight.
The boy sustained significant burns to his face, head, chest and arms following the incident at a home on Britannia Ave, Morningside.
Emergency services were called to the home following reports of a fire about 10.30pm.
He was taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
