Police are investigating after a Gold Coast tobacconist was set on fire by two people who were seen throwing an unknown substance inside and setting it alight.

Police are investigating after a Gold Coast tobacconist was set on fire in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Two unknown offenders smashed the front doors of a tobacconist on Main Street at Beenleigh about 1.40am Friday before throwing an unknown substance into the store and setting it alight.
They then fled the scene in a vehicle.
No one was injured.
Police are investigating and appeal for anyone with information or CCTV to come forward.
