A 12-year-old girl has died in an e-scooter crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 12-year-old girl died following a vehicle and e-scooter crash in the Lockyer Valley region on Saturday afternoon.
According to Queensland Police Service, initial investigations indicate that both vehicles were travelling south on Vaux Street in Laidley when the rider of the scooter fell into the path of a grey Holden Barina on Vaux Street at around 3pm
The rider of the scooter, a 12-year-old Laidley girl, was declared dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for anyone with relevant dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
