Northern Territory Police said officers from the Gangs Task Force executed a search warrant at a Bellamack home on Tuesday, February 11, seizing more than $130,000 in cash and 60g of MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets.

The 26-year-old suspect was not present at the time.

However, more than a month later, on Friday, March 21, police tracked the man down at accommodation in Marrara.

When officers arrived, he refused to leave his room, but police entered and arrested him without incident.

A search of the accommodation uncovered more MDMA in a trafficable quantity and a stash of cannabis.

The man has been charged with multiple drug-related offences, including possessing and supplying a commercial quantity of a dangerous drug, possessing tainted property, and destroying evidence.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Darwin Local Court on Tuesday March 25.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Timothy Gardiner said police were determined to crack down on outlaw motorcycle gangs operating in the Territory.

“These organisations thrive on intimidation, drug trafficking, and violence, and we are committed to dismantling their operations,” he said.

“We will pursue them relentlessly until they no longer pose a threat to our community.”
