A good Samaritan who stopped to help after watching three cars collide on a busy Gold Coast road, allegedly had their car stolen in the process.
Emergency services responded to a three-car crash involving a LDV G10, Audi A3 and a Suzuki Vitara on Robina Town Centre Drive in Robina at around 4.35pm on Wednesday.
A Gold Coast police spokeswoman confirmed they are now looking for a man who allegedly hijacked the car of the passer-by.
The person driving a Honda Odyssey had got out of their car to help after watching three cars collide but as they left their car, one of the drivers involved in the crash allegedly stole the Honda.
Police alleged the culprit had gotten out of an LDV G10, which had allegedly been stolen from a Mermaid Waters address on July 7.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a man in his 20s was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with chest pain after the incident.
Police are appealing to the public for any dashcam or CCTV footage of the area at the time to contact them at 131 444.
