Why are we paying Australia's Sex Discrimination Commissioner if she doesn't understand the term ‘biological male’ amid controversy over a pedophile in a women's prison, writes Peta Credlin.
I don’t understand the term “biological male”. So said the most senior official charged with protecting the rights of women and girls in this country, Dr Anna Cody, the Sex Discrimination Commissioner.
A member of the Australian Human Rights Commission, Cody was excoriated in Canberra during the week by Liberal senator Claire Chandler as debate continued around the controversial decision to house a pedophile father in a Melbourne women’s prison.
We are all so sick of this.
It’s not women trying to get themselves into a male prison, is it?
It’s biological men who decide life would be easier – and safer – in a female jail rather than a male one. So, they wake up one day and suddenly declare that “Jack” is “Jane” – and our self-ID laws back the madness in.
Clearly, this criminal should have thought a bit harder about the consequences of his depravity before he brutalised his five-year-old daughter.
It’s time our politicians got tough and ended this nonsense, because if this is allowed to stand, self-ID laws will become a fast-track into the women’s prison system.
Sex is a matter of biology. It doesn’t matter what gender you might want to label yourself, your chromosomes reveal the truth, and biology gives us only two sex options here – male (XY) or female (XX).
If the Sex Discrimination Commissioner doesn’t understand this, then why are we paying her $400,000 a year to protect sex-based rights from discrimination when, plainly, she doesn’t even know what those rights are, by definition?
