THE only way to have lower taxes and more jobs is to vote Liberal this Saturday. Only Scott Morrison’s plan will keep Australia’s economy strong, pay down Labor’s debt and fully fund continued investment in hospitals, schools and roads.

When elected, we promised to create one million jobs, fix the budget, secure Australia’s borders and lower taxes.

We have delivered, creating more than 1.3 million jobs (95 per cent full-time), handed down a surplus budget, stopped the arrivals of unauthorised boats and are lowering taxes for households and small businesses.

Bill Shorten’s reckless spending and higher taxes will leave Australia with a bill we just can’t afford. Because Labor can’t manage money, they are coming after everyone else’s with $387 billion in higher taxes.

Around 450,000 South Australians will pay more income tax under Labor, while their housing tax would push Adelaide rents 15 per cent higher. Wages, superannuation, retirement savings, investments, houses, electricity, new cars and health insurance will all face higher taxes or costs under Labor.

The Liberal plan for the future will generate a further 1.25 million jobs, including 250,000 jobs for young Australians and 80,000 apprenticeships. We will deliver income tax cuts that end bracket creep for low and middle-income earners, benefiting everyone earning more than $40,000.

Scott Morrison will tackle youth suicide with a $500 million investment in mental health support, create 10,000 more home-care places for our ageing and help Australians to buy their first home. We will implement our $3.5 billion Climate Solutions policy, which unlike Labor’s, is fully costed and funded.

South Australians can count on the Liberals to deliver our $90 billion naval shipbuilding plan, establish the National Space Agency in Adelaide, help fund the Repat, continue to build the North-South Corridor, invest in regional infrastructure like the dog fence, implement the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and maintain record funding for local schools and hospitals.

Now is not the time to turn back. The only way to stop Bill Shorten’s higher taxes and to guarantee delivery of the Liberal plan for a strong economy is to vote for your local Liberal candidate on Saturday.
