Andrew Bolt: It seemed inevitable that the normalising of an insane Jew hatred would have deadly consequences, and here they are
With at least 15 people reportedly murdered in Australia’s worst terrorist attack — and one terrorist killed — can we finally stop it with the lies and the evasions?
The war on Jews has spread from Israel to the bloodied sands of Bondi. This is our October 7.
So with more than 15 innocent people reportedly murdered in Australia’s worst terrorist attack can we finally stop it with the lies and the evasions?
Here’s lie one. Standing on the scene of the carnage, a rabbi reportedly dead, a shocked local councillor was still telling a journalist the area was so wonderfully, peacefully multicultural.
That, frankly, is bullshit.
Multiculturalism has become a curse. We have become a nation of tribes, and we’ve seen very clearly that one of those tribes includes people at war with our values and our people.
Lie two. Muslim terrorists are just a tiny, tiny unrepresentative minority of the Muslim community.
I know, we do not yet have confirmation of the motives or ethnicity of the two gunmen – or maybe three. But the dots form a picture that seems hard to deny: an attack on Jews celebrating Hanukkah by the beach. Men armed with powerful rifles. Adult men clearly co-ordinating. Men who stayed at the scene to keep shooting, clearly in little fear that they’d be shot – like on a suicide mission.
So eliminate from the theorising any blah blah about lone wolves, mental illness and the rest.
And cut the crap about tiny minorities. It doesn’t take many to destroy our values, trust and culture of this society.
Fact is, we’ve been lucky that this has not happened more often and worse. Even before the Bondi massacre, Muslim refugees carried out five terrorist attacks on our soil, killing five of us.
Many other plots have been luckily disrupted in time, including plans to attack the Holsworthy army base and the MCG.
Lie three, The Albanese Government has done all it could to fight Jew hatred in this country.
Make me sick. God knows that is false.
Can anyone but suspect that this massacre – whether by Islamists or some other species of Jew hater – is tied to the monstrous vilification aimed at Jews here since Hamas terrorists butchered 1200 Israelis two years ago?
It always seemed inevitable that the words of hatred – the normalising of an insane Jew hatred – would have deadly consequences, and here they are.
But what did we get from this government? A reluctance at times to call out the haters. A refusal even to criticise our top Muslim organisations for failing to condemn the October 7 Hamas attack, instead painting Muslims as the victims. A constant linking of supposed “Islamophobia” to every mention of anti-Semitism as if both were are common and dangerous as the other. A wilful decision to grant tourism visas to 3000 people from Hamas-run Gaza, as if people shuck their culture at our borders.
Lie four. Can our politicians and federal police stop going on and on about neo-Nazis as if they are just as much a danger as Islamist extremists? It’s like they’re appeasing the Muslim community by showing they’re tough on those white loons, too.
Lie five. That any criticism of our immigration intake or a certain religion is just racist.
For some, unfortunately, it may be. But Bondi shows us it’s about people’s lives as well.
It’s about the harmony we’ve lost and the terror we feel – and by no one more than our Jews.
