One man fighting for life after head-on collision at Mt Mee

Firefighters had to cut two drivers free from their vehicles after a horror head-on crash in the Moreton Bay hinterland left one man fighting for his life.

A man in his 60s is fighting for life after a head-on collision in the Moreton Bay hinterland on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Mt Mee Rd just after 10am.

Firefighters had to cut the drivers of both cars out of their vehicles so paramedics could treat them.

The man in his 60s was taken to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition, with significant chest injuries.

The second driver, a man in his 70s, sustained a suspected broken leg and was taken to Redcliffe Hospital in a stable condition.
