A woman has been burnt in a house fire in Sydney’s west, before being airlifted and treated for multiple burns on Friday afternoon.

A woman in her 50s has been burnt in a house fire in Sydney’s west, before being airlifted and treated for multiple burns on Friday afternoon.
At about 2pm, NSW Fire and Rescue received numerous calls following a house fire in Kingswood, with more than 30 firefighters and eight fire trucks tasked with putting out the blaze out.
Upon arrival, firefighters were faced with the two-storey home well alight on Lethbridge St.
A CareFlight Helicopter was called to the scene by NSW Ambulance to help transport the middle-aged woman to the Royal North Shore Hospital, where she is in a serious but stable condition.
A specialist doctor and paramedics treated the woman on scene for multiple burns before being airlifted.
The crew mopped up, put out hotspots and ventilated the home.
Firefighters are investigating the area to deem the cause of the fire.
