The father of one of three victims of a horror crash in the state’s south over the weekend has revealed his daughter never had the chance to meet her younger sister before she was tragically killed.

Brooke Sorlie died alongside her boyfriend Aaron French, and their friend Charlie Quinn, when the car they were in crashed near Tarago, 40km outside of Goulburn, about 1.10pm on Sunday.

NSW Police are investigating the cause of the crash, with the driver of the car Lachlan Stuckey - Ms Quinn’s boyfriend - still in hospital under police guard.

Ms Sorlie’s father, who lives overseas, posted on Facebook about the loss of his daughter describing her as someone who brought “light into any room”.

“Brooke Charmain Sorlie, my beautiful 21-year old daughter, tragically lost her life in a car accident just two days ago,” Mr Sorlie wrote.

“The time we spent apart weighs heavily on me, yet I hold our cherished memories close - the trips, the laughter, the warm hugs. Our many adventures together over the years.”

Mr Sorlie recalled his daughter winning an award while at primary school, which he said spoke to her “loving and fair nature”.

But on top of his fond memories he wrote of his sadness at his daughter never being able to meet her younger sister who was born in recent years.

“I promise she will know all about you - your goodness, your fairness, and your wonderful soul,” Mr Sorlie wrote.

“They say that God loves flowers, and He certainly picked the best one in you my girl. You are forever in my heart. Dad.”

Ms Sorlie was returning from a couples weekend away in Canberra when tragedy struck at the intersection of Bungendore and Collector roads in Tarago.

According to police, Mr Stuckey lost control of the Hyundai hatchback while travelling along the regional road, with the car flipping on its roof.

He managed to escape, but his girlfriend Ms Quinn, and Ms Sorlie and Mr French, all died at the scene.

Mr Stuckey was taken to Canberra Hospital where he underwent surgery for a spinal fracture and is now recovering, as police continue to try and piece together what caused the crash.

The tragedy has rocked the community of Nowra, which was hometown to the three young victims of the crash.

Ms Quinn’s father Scott told The Daily Telegraph his daughter was “the light of our lives” and that the families of the victims were coming together at this tough time.

“Charlie was the light of our lives,” he said.

“We are heartbroken and sending our love to all the families involved in this absolute tragedy.”
