Police are appealing for public assistance after a suspicious car fire outside a home in Sydney’s south earlier this year.
Emergency services were called to a property on Dolans Rd, Burraneer, following reports of a black Range Rover being engulfed in flames at about 5am, March 16.
Thankfully, the vehicle’s owner managed to extinguish the fire before it caused further damage.
Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command launched an investigation and have since established Strike Force Meeks to probe the incident after initial inquiries lead to the fire being treated as suspicious.
As part of ongoing investigations, police have released CCTV footage of two men they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
One of the men is described as being of slim build, wearing a hooded jumper, pants, and sneakers.
The second man, is described to have a medium build, short dark hair, and was seen wearing a T-shirt, pants, and sneakers.
Police are urging anyone who may recognise the individuals or who has information that could assist with the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
