NSW Health workers exposed by Israeli influencer, English teacher Max Veifer

The Israeli influencer who exposed the vile tirade of two Sydney nurses says their comments have left him wondering who he can trust, describing the rising tide of anti-Semitism in Australia as “insane”.

Nurse claims anti-Semitic video is 'joke'

The Israeli influencer who exposed the vile tirade of two Sydney nurses says their comments have left him wondering who he can trust, describing the rising tide of anti-Semitism in Australia as “insane”.

But Max Veifer said he had accomplished a positive “mission” by exposing Bankstown Hospital staff Ahmad “Rashad” Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh and allowing others to identify the pair, who have since been banished from the state’s health system, declaring “we got them”.

“It shows we can unite sometimes against evil,” the English teacher told Sky News host Sharri Markson on Wednesday night.

Mr Veifer, who has made a name for himself on social media by recording chat room users to expose their anti-Semitic views, said he had been particularly shocked to hear hospital staff expressing such hatred for Israelis.

“Seeing … medical staff that’s supposed to treat people, supposed to take care of people, seeing them saying these things just made me sad,” he said.

“I don’t know who I can trust anymore, you know?

“God forbid I’m in a hospital. Can I trust them? ... Should I tell them I’m from Israel? Is it gonna make a difference?”

Asked if he had a message for Anthony Albanese, Mr Veifer said he hoped he had opened the Prime Minister’s eyes “to this tremendous anti-Semitism that is going on ... in Australia”.

“And I hope (he’ll) finally start taking actions to prevent these events from happening,” he said.

“It’s not the only case. I just recorded it, right, and I just dropped it on the internet. But how many other cases are happening in Australia?”

Mr Veifer added that Jewish people wanted to “live peacefully with everyone”.

“We Israelis ... we don’t want to experience this hate for no reason, so a country should take care of it.”

He called for Mr Albanese to put more money towards tackling anti-Semitism.

“We’re hoping for a better world, for a better Australia,” he said.

Mr Veifer is a Hebrew-speaking English teacher who regularly posts videos to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok in which he has conversations on the chat site Chatruletka.

He runs a business called “Learn English in 10 Months” and states he lives in Ashdod, Israel.

When Mr Veifer is matched in chat rooms with people who voice anti-Israel and anti-Jewish views, he records and uploads the conversations to social media.

He most recently shared footage showing a Tuesday night conversation he had online with the nurses, who were wearing NSW Health uniforms and in a hospital setting.

The video recorded Nadir and Abu Lebdeh on a public chat forum telling the influencer they refuse to treat people of an Israeli background.

In the video, Nadir says: “You have no idea how many (Israeli people) come to this hospital ... I send to Jahannam”.

Jahannam is the Arabic translation for “hell”.

Abu Lebdeh later says: “It’s Palestine’s country, not your country you piece of s--t.”

Ironically, it’s understood Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, took Mr Veifer’s original post down because it breached the company’s violence and hateful conduct policies.
