Voting for the NSW Local Government elections opened on Saturday. Here’s everything you need to know along with a list of all the polling locations.

The 2024 NSW Local Government elections will be held on Saturday, with voting opening from 8am.

There are 128 local government councils in NSW and the NSW Electoral Commission will be conducting the elections for 126 councils.

Fairfield City Council and Liverpool City Council in Western Sydney have chosen to use a commercial election provider.

What time do polling booths open?

Voting opens from 8am

What time do voting booths close?

Voting closes at 6pm.

What is the expected waiting time for voting?

Waiting time depends on the polling booth, but it’s usually less than 10 minutes.

When will results be announced?

Results should start being seen from about 6.15pm.
