Mini-influencers Mia and Tatiana Escalante already know how to pop a leg to get the best angle in their photos.

With parents Nga and Sebastian watching on metres away, the sister act hit Australian Fashion Week to sit front row at their first ever runway show.

“This is fun,” Mia said, posing for ‘street style’ snappers as they made their way in to the Next Gen parade at Carriageworks in Eveleigh.

“Yay, we are at Fashion Week.”

The girls – Mia, 5, and Tatiana, 3 – were invited to Fashion Week as guests of luxe haircare brand GHD, filming content for social media at the event and proving a big hit with punters keen to capture their matching fashion-forward looks – Fashion Nova tops and jackets, Zara pants, Gucci sneakersand bags from Urban Status x First Base.

Since launching on social media 18 months ago, the duo have amassed 178,000 Instagram followers and are able to charge big bucks for appearances and collaborations. Their parents would not comment on how much money they are earning.

“We are just so proud to be able to be here and see them achieve so much at such a young age,” Nga told The Daily Telegraph.

Top-tier influencers can earn big bucks for sponsored social media posts and collaborations.

The Kardashians for example, as the biggest social media stars in the world, can charge up to $1 million for a single post.

Clare Winterbourn manages local social media superstars The Inspired Unemployed through her agency, Born Bred Talent. While not able to speculate on their earning capacity, she saw big potential in the young influencers.

“The girls have mini-Kardashian vibes,” Winterbourn observed. “It is super cute and a lot of brands would be interested in working with them.”

The MiaxTati Instagram account is filled with images of the siblings wearing matching designer outfits, many part of sponsored partnerships with brands and retailers including Charles & Keith, Culture Kings and The Iconic.

With the family based in Sydney’s inner west, Nga initially set up the account when she launched a kids’ clothing brand under her daughters’ names, which inadvertently grew into the girls becoming social media stars.

“The girls would model for the brand and people were so impressed with how they were styled and dressed,” Nga explained. “Our following just grew from there.”

Sebastian runs a men’s custom suiting business in Double Bay called Suave Bespoke.

“We have boundaries that we don’t really cross,” he said of the girls’ social media account. “For us, we see them enjoying it and we don’t do anything they aren’t happy doing. We don’t focus on our personal lives on social media, just the fashion.”

Asked about the boundaries the parents have in place, Nga said: “We don’t share any inappropriate content, and keep it relatable to other kids and their families. We post outfits to inspire. We’re elevating the dress-up game and sharing it for people to enjoy.

“The girls love dressing up and getting their photos taken, the moment it’s not fun for them anymore is the moment we’ll stop.”

Nga said the girls were too young to think about what they wanted to do with their lives when they are older. “It really comes down to what they want to do when they grow up,” she said. “We are not pressuring them into anything.”
