Luke Manassa, was 21, was killed in a stabbing at Pemulwuy on June 26.

A young entrepreneur was stabbed in the driveway of a relative’s home just moments after he pulled up on Thursday night, with police still on the hunt for the two hooded men who ambushed him and left him for dead.

Luke Manassa, 21, was stabbed in the chest repeatedly on Thursday, seconds after he stepped out of his work ute on Driftway Drive, Pemulwuy, around 10.45pm.

It’s understood two hooded men were waiting for his arrival, pouncing on Manassa seconds after he arrived.

Neighbours on Driftway Drive heard male voices screaming, before Manassa managed to get back in his car.

The injured 21-year-old was able to drive a few hundred metres down Driftway Drive, before coming to rest at a bus stop, where he tragically died in the driver’s seat.

Residents rushed to his aid, trying to stop the bleeding as they waited for paramedics, however he could not be revived.

“It was just horrific,” one resident told the Telegraph.

“There was so much screaming and blood. Everyone is just traumatised by it.”

Police arrived at the scene within minutes, but were unable to locate his hooded attackers - who remain on the run.

Cumberland Police Area Command Detective Superintendent Simon Glasser said police were investigating whether the incident was linked to organised crime - confirming they had knowledge of Manassa, though said he was not a “well-known” crime figure.

“The male and the location are known to police, so that will form part of our investigation,” he said.

“This is serious, high level violence, which we can’t tolerate, and our detectives with the assistance of the State Crime Command are throwing everything we have at this.”

Detective Superintendent Glasser said police were unsure whether the attackers fled on foot or in a vehicle, urging anyone with information to come forward.

“The only description we have is that these two males were in dark clothing, and last seen heading south on the Driftway Drive,” he said.

“We do ask that anyone that may have CCTV or dashcam footage contact Crime Stoppers or Granville detectives.”

Forensic police remained at the home where Manassa was attacked on Friday, photographing the blood-stained driveway, and searching drains, gutters and bushland for the weapon used in the attack.

Police also patrolled the area from above, with a helicopter hovering over bushland where the alleged killers are believed to have fled.

Mr Manassa, whose family owns a large demolition company, featured on a podcast last year, discussing his entrepreneurial ventures and “side hustles”, which included selling designer sneakers.

“I go to UTS doing property economics and I work in high rise demolition,” he said.

“I knew what I wanted to do for a long time… I wasn’t concerned with much else.”
