Dramatic footage has captured the moment a man rode an electric unicycle down one of Sydney’s busiest northern beaches roads, overtaking cars and using bus lanes.
The video, shot earlier this week, shows the man balancing on a single-wheel electric device as he travels along Pittwater Rd — one of the area’s main arterial routes.
The electric unicycle, which can reach speeds of up to 90km/h, is seen weaving between vehicles and riding in bus lanes.
Electric unicycles retail for about $6000, with high-end models boasting powerful motors and long-range batteries.
Under current NSW laws, electric unicycles are not permitted to be ridden on public roads or footpaths unless part of an approved trial.
Riders can face significant fines if caught.
