A Condell Park-based company is at the centre of a viral video that captured one of its vehicles smashing into a stationary car in a hit and run incident in Sydney’s southwest.
The video shows a car waiting to turn right onto Dutton St, Bankstown from Marion St just before 10am on Friday April 11.
But before the driver could make the turn, a white Toyota HiLux slams into the driver side of the car, tearing into the car bonnet and sending parts flying across the road.
Instead of stopping, the HiLux continues to drive away, cutting across two lanes before turning left onto Hunter St.
The footage, posted to popular Facebook page Dashcam Owners Australia, sparked online outrage with several eagle-eyed users noting the HiLux appeared to be registered to Condell Park-based industrial company Toilet Partitions Industries (TPI).
Toilet Partition Industries chief executive officer Mark Bush said: “(TPI) is aware of the incident on Friday 11th April 2025 involving one of our employee’s driving one of our delivery vehicles.”
“TPI has been in direct communication with Bankstown Police regarding this matter, and the driver of the other car involved has been provided with our company’s direct contact information.
“We are yet to hear from them.
“Please be assured that we take incidents such as this very seriously.”
When asked whether the employee was still with TPI, Mr Bush said the details and outcomes of the investigation were “confidential”.
“We will co-operate fully with the police and insurance companies to resolve this matter swiftly and responsibly,” Mr Bush said
“Additionally, we want to reassure everyone that TPI’s insurance will cover all costs and damages associated with the other vehicle involved.”
