UPDATE 10AM FRI: AUNTY is back on the Darwin airwaves after two hours of radio silence on Friday morning.

ABC Radio Darwin was silence for over two hours on Friday morning, coinciding with the coldest morning of the year.

The popular radio station returned just before 10am.

It is understood the ABC was aware of the issue and has informed staff, but has not released any information of their social media about the outage.

An ABC Darwin presenter said the technical issue was for their listeners over the app.

INITIAL 9AM TUES: IF you’re wondering why you’re unable to listen to ABC Radio this morning, don’t worry it’s not just you.

The popular radio station went down across the Northern Territory on Friday morning, coinciding with the coldest morning of the year.

It is understood the ABC is aware of the issue and has informed staff, but has not released any information of their social media about the outage.

The outage coincided with Sabra Lane’s AM show.
