The Territory’s best beauty specialist, according to NT News readers, has been crowned, and she is a 22-year-old business owner from Berry Springs.
Tamsin Moller began her journey to become a beauty specialist in 2022 when she completed her Certificate III and envietably went on to graduate with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy at Charles Darwin Univserity; now she has been voted NT’s best.
“I was at a crossroads in my career and not really sure where to go, I loved playing around with makeup and beauty skincare products and I found that I really loved it all,” she said.
“Fiona at CDU was the best lecturer, really nurturing and was really inspiring in a way that pushed me further to really want to become a beautician.”
Originally from Karama, Ms Moller now operates her business Divine Skin and Beauty in Berry Springs.
“I just wanted something that was purely mine, I wanted to be able to focus on things that meant a lot to me.”
At just 22, Ms Moller has hopes to expand her business, find a bigger space and introduce more advanced skin treatments, all while staying in Berry Springs.
“The people are just amazing out here… I love the people, I love the pace of it,” she said.
“There is a chance to be able to build yourself, there’s a chance to make sure everyone knows who you are.”
Divine Skin and Beauty has been open for just four short months, however it is the drive and determination that has made Ms Moller soar to success.
“I’ve been doing pamphlet drops… I have my pamphlets at Darwin River Tavern and the IGA, but it’s also word of mouth, that’s the main thing out here,” she said.
“I would love to say a huge thankyou to all my clients, if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be receiving this (recognition).”
