NORTHERN Territory authorities are on high alert following a case of COVID-19 community transmission in Queensland.
A 26-year-old Brisbane man tested positive for coronavirus late on Thursday night but had been infectious in the community since last Friday.
NT Health on Friday evening confirmed anyone who has travelled to the Territory from identified exposure sites in Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region since March 20 should get a COVID-19 test within 72 hours and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Anyone who has been to those exposure sites should “rethink” their plans of travelling to the NT.
The exposure sites are in the suburbs of Redcliffe, Nundah, Stafford, Everton Park, Newstead, Paddington and Carindale.

Tasmania and Victoria have put in place border restrictions for travellers from Brisbane.
The NT has not yet imposed mandatory quarantine, though the chief health officer is “closely monitoring” the situation.
