THE Darwin Trailer Boat Club received a welcome delivery of beer yesterday as increased tourist numbers force pubs, clubs and restaurants to stock up for this year’s dry season. Club supplies manager David McGowan said the beers would just keep coming to meet the demand of thirsty locals and tourists.

“The dry season so far this year has been a lot busier than last year’s. But, I have to say, we’ve had zero problems with any beer shortages whatsoever,” he said.

“ We have a great supply chain with CUB (Carlton and United Breweries) up here in the NT. Every week they bring cold beers – it’s brilliant.”

CUB sales manager Lincoln Jenkin said suppliers and distributers were well placed for what promised to be a strong tourist season.
