A Darwin woman charged with attacking former chief minister Natasha Fyles with a cream crepe is selling her real estate business, amid allegations she continued to practice despite her license being revoked.
Northern Territory Consumer Affairs issued a warning to the public after it received evidence suggesting Suzi Milgate was presenting and practising as a licensed real estate agent, even though her licence was cancelled last month for allegedly harassing and intimidating renters.
The licence for her business Milgate Real Estate also expired on February 6.
That business, which she has operated since 2018 under the tag line “Bringing chic to Darwin Real Estate”, was listed for sale on January 31, the same day her licence was revoked.
A listing on Seek Business prices the boutique agency at $250,000, promoting a long-term lease, small rent roll, sales properties, office equipment, window signage, an “established company” and “good will”.
Reasons for sale listed were “change of industry or diversifying” and “looking to prioritise more quality family time”.
The business was described as having “up-market clients” with a “seven star client base”.
Starting with a Century 21 franchise in Palmerston, the business changed to Milgate Real Estate in 2018, and moved to its Cullen Bay marina position in 2020.
Ms Milgate has accumulated more than $18,000 in fines from the Agents Licensing Board after threatening to evict a woman and call the police upon discovering she had an OnlyFans account.
The Board also found she conducted “what looks like a witch hunt” against two other tenants, calling her behaviour “inexcusable”.
Ms Milgate is fighting the Board’s decision to cancel her licence, telling the NT Civil and Administrative Tribunal she was not given enough warning and the decision was “unreasonable and excessive”.
As for the September incident with Ms Fyles and a “slight error of a fresh cream pie”, Ms Milgate will face trial at the Darwin Local Court in July where she stands charged with aggravated assault and using a carriage service to harass.
She has indicated she will plead not guilty.
