A four-year-old boy has died after accidentally drowning in his family’s backyard swimming pool in Palmerston.
NT Police are investigating after the boy was found unresponsive in a pool about 3.30pm on Saturday.
The boy was taken out of the pool and CPR was commenced, which police and St John Ambulance continued when they arrived on the scene.
However, he was declared dead at the scene.
Major Crime have carriage of the incident and will prepare a report for the coroner.
