A Katherine teenager will face court after allegedly threatening a business owner with an edged weapon and stealing cash during an armed robbery.

A teenager has been arrested after he allegedly robbed a Katherine business armed with an edged weapon.
Police called for public assistance to help track down the 16-year-old after the incident at 10.40pm on Thursday.
It is alleged he threatened an employee at a business on Oshea Terrace with the weapon before stealing money and fleeing from the scene.
He has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and will appear in court on Monday.
“Katherine Police would like to thank the members of the public that came forward, who provided vital information allowing police to make a quick arrest,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Jeremy Brunton said.
“This disgraceful behaviour has no place within our community.”
