A 23-year-old woman has died in hospital after a car rollover on the outskirts of Darwin on the weekend.
At about 11.30am Sunday, police received reports of a serious single-vehicle crash on Daniel Cct, Herbert.
The 23-year-old driver was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital with critical injuries.
She passed away on Thursday night.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Matt Hollamby said early indications were that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
“This takes the number of lives lost on Northern Territory roads to 19 for this year, compared with four at this same stage last year,” Mr Hollamby said.
“Our thoughts are with the families.”
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
