QUEST and Health Minister Natasha Fyles have remained tight-lipped about why NT Health have booked out the entire of Quest Berrimah, which saw some long-time existing bookings booted out.
When asked on Wednesday whether the facility was booked to house new staff for the Howard Springs quarantine camp, Ms Fyles refused to provide specifics but described it as “very operational”.

Earlier this week, a Quest spokeswoman also refused to provide any information but ruled out that the Berrimah hotel had met the same fate as its Parap serviced apartments.
“Quest Apartment Hotels has accepted a large corporate booking at Quest Berrimah from (Monday), which will occupy the entire hotel,” the spokeswoman said.
“All affected guests have been notified and we are working hard to relocate those displaced, or offer suitable redress,” she said.
“We sincerely apologise to guests for any inconvenience caused.”
Quest’s Parap hotel closed earlier this year after the company decided not to renew its lease over the site.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Ms Fyles said the booking by NT Health was a “operational matter”.
“I’m not going to get into specifics,” she said.
“The Department of Health does provide support to staff right across the Northern Territory.”
