FORMER Territory chief minister Shane Stone has had no hesitation in getting his COVID-19 vaccination and is urging others to do likewise.
Mr Stone, 70, is the Co-ordinator General of the National Drought & North QLD Floods Agency.

He received the virus vaccination in Alice Springs, where he is attending the NT Cattlemen’s Association annual conference. Mr Stone said he has full confidence and support in the vaccine rollout.
He was eligible by reason of his age group 1B list.
Senior Territorians, Aboriginal people and health care and emergency workers started receiving their COVID-19 vaccines this week as the rollout continues.
Eligible Territorians among the Phase 1B cohort include people over the age of 70, adults with specified underlying medical conditions, remaining health care workers, critical and high risk workers such as police, fire, emergency services and meat processing workers.

Phase 1B also marks the start of the vaccination program for Aboriginal adults.
This week, 10 GPs and three respiratory clinics started administering the vaccine as part of Phase 1B.
