A Darwin dad has been charged after allegedly dealing drugs to children.

Daniel Tye Lees faced the Darwin Local Court on Wednesday charged with several dangerous drug offences including supplying less than a commercial quantity of a schedule two drug to a child.

Defence lawyer Joshua Bach said the 47-year-old had agreed to enter a plea in the Supreme Court to four charges, while three charges were to be withdrawn.

Mr Bach confirmed Lees did not wish to give evidence and the “prima facie” case against him had been conceded.

Among the dropped charges were supplying a schedule one drug to a child and possessing trafficable quantities of schedule one and two drugs.

Judge Thomasin Opie found there was “sufficient evidence to place the defendant on trial”, committing him to face the Supreme Court on November 16.

Along with allegedly dealing to a child, Lees stands charged with supplying schedule one, two and four drugs.

Lees remains in custody on remand.
