IT’S getting down to the nitty gritty

Yesterday’s numbers 60 to 41 sparked a few gasps.

In his first appearance on The List, it is no surprise little Hudson Gunner stole the show, our hearts and his way to No. 48.

Another notable appearance was the Morrison Government at No. 42.

After a tense few years, Chief Minister Michael Gunner and Prime Minister Scott Morrison have finally found common ground, and their relationship *cough, bromance, cough* will be critical in the coming years and months.

Today we reveal our next lot of powerhouses.

Click on each picture in our interactive graphic below to find out a bit more about our list makers and why we’ve placed them where we have.

Member for Sanderson Kate Worden, coming in at No. 38, will no doubt in the next four years become a force to be reckoned with.

She sat patiently on the backbench in the Gunner Government’s first term of office and was rewarded for her loyalty with a Cabinet position following this year’s NT general election.

Now the Minister for Territory Families and Urban Housing, Minister for Disabilities, Minister for Sport and Minister for Multicultural Affairs, she will face some extreme challenges as a first time minister.

No. 39 Darwin council chief executive Scott Waters is another one to watch, having been a key figure in helping the local economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The MyDarwin voucher scheme proved one of the most successful schemes across the country, and it is moves like these that keep councils moving and the chief executive’s eyes looking forward, rather than behind his back.
