Virginia Giuffre has broken her silence with a cryptic social media post after what she described as a near-death horror bus crash in Australia.
The Prince Andrew accuser sparked alarm last month after posting a bruised photo from her hospital bed, claiming she had just “four days to live”.
But now, Giuffre has posted a link to Australian singer-songwriter Gotye’s break-up anthem Somebody That I Used To Know, followed by a black screen with no caption or audio.
She later pinned the post to her Instagram profile with a broken heart emoji.
The Jeffrey Epstein survivor had previously shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed with heavy bruising, saying she had been in a car crash with a school bus and was suffering from fatal kidney failure.
The mum-of-three added: “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.”
But the story took a turn when Western Australia Police described the crash as minor and said no major injuries were reported.
Parents of children on the bus also spoke out, reportedly disputing the severity of the incident.
The crash occurred near Giuffre’s farm in Neergabby, about an hour north of Perth, on March 24.
She was discharged from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on April 7 after a week-long stay, slipping out the back entrance to avoid waiting media.
Her father Sky Roberts tried to clarify the situation saying “Doctors told Virginia she would have died within four days had she not received medical treatment.”
The timing comes as Giuffre’s legal issues continue to mount.
Her court case over an alleged breach of a family violence restraining order has been postponed until June, after she was deemed too unwell to attend the scheduled hearing on April 9.
She is accused of breaching the order on February 2, but has not yet entered a plea.
The restraining order reportedly involves her estranged husband Robert and their three children.
Giuffre rose to prominence three years ago when she accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was 17 while he was associated with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Three years ago, the disgraced royal paid millions to Giuffre in an out-of-court settlement, while denying the sexual assault accusations.
VIRGINIA GIUFFRE REP SLAMS DAILY MAIL FOR PURSUIT
Virginia Giuffre’s agent has slammed Daily Mail Australia’s pursuit of the sex trafficking victim following her release from hospital, revealing the real story behind a wild photo of her sticking her middle finger up at reporters.
The online newspaper published photos of Giuffre, who was sex trafficked as a teenager by wealthy pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and her brother Danny near her rural farm in Neergabby, north of Perth, in looking upset and angry, and screaming “get the f*** out of here”.
They had been trying to gather supplies for the animals on the farm when the scene unfolded.
It was the first time Giuffre had been seen in public since posting a bedside hospital selfie on Instagram last week, claiming she was involved in a serious collision with a bus and only had days to live.
Little is known about Giuffre’s health, but her New York-based agent Dini von Mueffling told this masthead that Danny feared for his sister’s safety and did not feel as though he could leave her at the farm due because media was lurking outside.
She further accused the publication of blocking Giuffre’s vehicle, describing the situation as “unsafe” and “disturbing”.
“The Daily Mail’s team followed Virginia and her brother Danny to a feed store, where they were getting supplies for the farm’s animals,” she said.
“The Daily Mail’s car blocked their car, causing it to be stuck on a road with active car traffic. Danny alerted the Daily Mail team that they had put them in an unsafe position and asked the Daily Mail to move so they could, but they did not, continuing to snap photos.”
Ms von Mueffling added: “No place is safe from their antagonistic behaviour”.
Giuffre’s lawyer will report the incident to the UK press watchdog, the Independent Press Standards Organisation, and request an investigation into the British outlet.
Daily Mail editor Felicity Hetherington refuted the claims in a statement to this masthead, saying: “Our reporters and photographer behaved appropriately while covering this story of international interest.”
Over the weekend, Giuffre’s other brother Sky Roberts told media his sister was involved in another incident in January. He said that event resulted in a cracked sternum and perforated eye, and almost killed her.
Referencing the January incident, she told the US-based publication, People: “I was able to fight back against Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein who, abused and trafficked me … I can no longer stay silent.
“I thank everyone for their support.”
Mr Roberts and his wife Amanda had spoken with Giuffre on the phone but could not confirm whether her ongoing medical issues were the result of the January incident, complications from the crash in March, or a combination of both.
“Let’s be clear, she never stated in the bus accident the cause of all her other injuries. But I do think that the bus crash in some way, shape, or form saved her life. It could have been a blessing in disguise,” he said.
“Nobody ever said her liver issues and kidney failure were ever from [the bus collision]. We still don’t know if it is, I’m not a medical professional. That’s up to her doctor to determine.”
Mr Roberts then lashed out at critics who questioned the legitimacy of her health claims. He said: “Is it going to take her to die for people to believe her? Or can you just simply be a human and look at the facts and understand this is somebody that legitimately got into an accident, legitimately had underlying issues.”
