THE Northern Territory joins the world in having a top mornin’ and sharing in a pint of Guinness in celebration of St Patrick’s Day

THE Northern Territory joins the world in having a top mornin’ and sharing in a pint of Guinness in celebration of everything Irish for St Patrick’s Day.

Shenannigans will be joining in the fun, opening their doors at 8am today with Irish dancing performances at 9am, noon, 2pm and 4.30pm.

“Our biggest clientele would definitely be Irish, we’ve been informed by lots of our regulars they’ve booked their Thursday off so we’re expecting a big one,” Shenannigans bartender Leanne Kristiansen said.

“It’s our biggest day; last year it was the beginning of the end as we shut five days later due to COVID so we’re hoping for a big celebration this year.”

She said it was a great day for everyone to get involved in.

“We love the culture of St Patrick’s Day. Being an Irish pub, a lot of the Irish come to us but a lot of people celebrate the day as well, English, foreigners, Aussies come too,” she said.

“It’s just a great day for everyone to come and celebrate.”
