AUSTRALIA broke through with two world titles, a silver and an Australian record on the second day of the 2015 UCI Junior Track World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Derek Radzikiewicz (SA) claimed Australia’s first gold of the Championships with a stunning performance in the keirin, while Robinson, Rohan Wight (SA), Alex Rendell (WA), Kelland O’Brien (Vic) and James Tickner (Vic) combined to win Australia’s sixth men’s team pursuit title in a row.
Danielle McKinnirey (SA), Nicola MacDonald (NSW), Chloe Moran (SA) and Brooke Tucker (Qld) set an Australian record on their way to claiming silver in the women’s team pursuit with Tori Saunders (NSW).
It took Australia’s tally to four medals after two days following a silver medal in the team sprint and a national record on day one of competition.
