Aussie singer Dan Sultan — who last year won the ARIA for best children’s album — has gone to ground after being charged with an alleged indecent assault.

Blues singer turned kids entertainer Dan Sultan has cancelled an upcoming tour following revelations he is to front court of a historical indecent assault charge.
Sultan was scheduled to perform at the Highway to Hell Music Festival in Perth in the coming days.
However organisers have released a statement confirming the 36-year-old singer has pulled out of the event on the advice of his management.
Sultan has also disabled any comments on his social media accounts.
It comes in the wake of the Sunday Telegraph’s exclusive revelations that the Sydney-based rocker will face court next month following his arrest late last year.

Sultan was charged by a specialised Melbourne sexual offence and child abuse investigation squad based at Fawkner Police station.
The charge relates to an alleged incident which occured in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg 2008.
Sultan was aged 24 at the time.
The singer, who relocated from Melbourne to the affluent Sydney suburb of Connells Point last year, declined to comment personally on the charge on Saturday evening when contacted at his home.
His manager Michael Parisi has also declined to respond to requests for comment.
Sultan, who has a six-month-old daughter with his long-term partner Bronnie Jane Lee, is a multiple ARIA-award winning artist in both the rock and children’s music categories.
He shot to fame with his debut album in 2006.
In 2014 he picked up the ARIA for best rock album with Blackbird, and more recently picked up Best Children’s album with Nali and Friends.
He has been nominated on 10 previous occasions.
Openly admitting to struggles with alcohol for several years, Sultan made headlines in 2018 when he confirmed he had sought treatment for alcoholism following a controversial ‘meltdown’ at a Cairns music festival.
Described as ‘incoherent’ by fans on social media after the appearance, Sultan and his management quickly issued a statement that the singer was to enter a rehabilitation facility where he sought treatment for a month.
It’s understood he has been sober ever since.
In the past year Sultan, who has often been described in the music press as an ‘Indiginour Elvis’, has also remodelled himself as a kids entertainer and regularly appears on the ABC’s Play School where he has performed soul renditions of kids classics like “Wheels on the Bus’.
He has also appeared as a special guest on The Wiggles.
