THE Wanderers U12s all girls team may just be taking part in the greatest underdog story of all time this evening.

The self proclaimed “Knuckleheads” are the only all-girls team in the mixed under 12s Aussie rules competition but that has only inspired them.

U12s player Olivia Musgrave said the team was stoked with its season.

“We’ve worked so hard and I’m really excited that we’re in the grand final,” she said.

“We know we can win, we just don’t know if we will.”

Coach Liam Musgrave said the girls had already done him proud against all odds.

The Knuckleheads play Southern Districts in the Division 3 grand final tonight at 5.15pm.
