POLICE are investigating an alleged indecent assault which they say involved a man trying to inappropriately touch a girl while she was riding past on her bike in Katherine this morning.
It is alleged that a man approached a young girl as she was riding her bike along an alleyway behind Frangipanni Court at around 9.30am.

According to NT Police, he then allegedly tried to “touch the girl inappropriately before she was able to escape and run home for help.”
The alleged offender is described as an Aboriginal man approximately 40 years old, 170 centimetres tall with short black and grey hair, wearing red knee-length shorts and a dark shirt.

The same man may have approached another woman in the main Katherine shopping centre carpark today.
