Two women have been taken to hospital after they were hit by a vehicle in a carpark at a busy retail centre today. The mother and daughter were standing together when they were hit by a reversing vehicle. The daughter was trapped under the car for over an hour.

Two women have been taken to hospital after they were hit by a vehicle in a carpark at a busy retail centre this morning.
The mother and daughter were standing together when they were hit by a reversing vehicle.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter responded at 10.30am, landing in the neighbouring suburb of Springwood due to weather conditions.
NSW Police met the chopper and sent the critical care medical team to the scene.
A 65-year-old woman remained trapped under the car for over 90 minutes.
Paramedics treated the woman for injuries to the head, legs and arms, working alongside Police Rescue and NSW Fire and Rescue crews to carefully free her.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
An 89-year-old woman was assessed as stable with a leg injury by a doctor before she was transferred to Springwood and flown by NSW Ambulance helicopter to hospital.
