A DRIVER has been busted with a blood-alcohol level four times the legal limit after police came across his stationary vehicle in the middle of Stuart Hwy.

NT Police Northern Watch Commander Len Turner said police had conducted a breath analysis test when they notice the man appeared to be drunk.

“Police members about 9pm last night were travelling along the Stuart Hwy near the Berrimah Business Park when they came across a silver Holden Commodore,” he said.

“It was stopped in the middle of the road, they stopped to check on the vehicle and noticed the male appeared to be intoxicated.

“Police conducted a roadside breath test and the breath analysis returned a reading of four times the legal limit with a reading of 0.213 per cent.”
