It is a bromance that started more than a decade ago and now has earned John Ibrahim and Kyle Sandilands a berth on The Sydney Power 100 list.

While their initial business venture may have failed – with Sandilands leasing the now defunct The Club venue from Ibrahim – the pair have formed a tight friendship.

They’ve holidayed in Los Angeles, regularly meet for coffee at a cafe in Kings Cross and Sandilands is a frequent guest at Ibrahim’s Dover Heights mansion

The pair have also leant on each other through relationship breakups.

Kyle’s multimillion-dollar radio deal and business ventures combined with Ibrahim’s business dealings make them a genuine Sydney power couple.

Low key in the sense that they prefer to go under the radar, Atlassian founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar are the ultimate business partnership.

In what would make a great movie, the duo met at university and have gone on to run a $54 billion business. Individually Cannon-Brookes and Farquhar are worth around $9 billion.

Gerry Harvey and Katy Page have weathered many a storm over decades in the retail sector. The current retail market however is undeniably the worst with the Harvey Norman retailers triumphing when others have gone under.

The Sydney Power 100 revealed

Harvey Norman this year made a profit of $574 million, driven by overseas store successes with revenue up nearly 10 per cent to more than $2 billion. Outside of retail, the husband and wife team are heavily involved in various charitable organisations and preside over the annual Magic Millions horse racing meet on the Gold Coast.

Back on the box co-hosting breakfast show, Today, Karl Stefanovic is back in the fold in 2020. The polarising TV host makes his debut in The Sydney Power 100 with new wife, Jasmine, who is a successful businesswoman in her own right thanks to her shoe label, Mara & Mine.

Not only is the couple kicking goals professionally, they are also excited about the pending arrival of their first child together later this year. Stefanovic is already father to three from his previous marriage.
