Home and Away star Sam Frost’s boyfriend caught with cocaine at Bondi bar

A covert police operation has seen former Bachelorette Sam Frost’s new man Dave Bashford, a former Navy diver, nabbed with cocaine in an eastern suburbs bar.

Home and Away star Sam Frost’s boyfriend has been caught in an undercover drug sting in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

David George Bashford, 27, was nabbed by cops with 0.4 grams of cocaine at the Bondi Beach Hotel on March 4.

The ex-Navy diver has pleaded guilty to drug possession at the Waverley Local Court and will be sentenced next week.

Court documents said Bashford’s behaviour immediately raised suspicions with police.

The former Bachelorette’s beau “immediately stood up and walked away at pace” when officers arrived at the venue.

After being stopped, police said an “extremely nervous” Bashford dropped a plastic bag with cocaine on the floor when he took his hands out of his pockets.

Court documents said Bashford eventually made full admissions to possessing cocaine and was “extremely remorseful”.

Bashford and Ms Frost, who is not mentioned in facts tendered to the court, have been together since 2017.
