Queen, Fire Fight Australia concerts: what you need to know

Sydney is ready to host a mammoth weekend of entertainment with more than 140,000 fans heading to ANZ Stadium for Queen and Fire Fight Australia concerts. Here’s what you need to know.

Queen to headline Fire Fight Australia charity concert

Sydney will host a mammoth weekend of entertainment with 140,000 people set to pour into at ANZ stadium for the Queen and Fire Fight Australia concerts.

On Saturday, Queen and Adam Lambert will peform at ANZ as part of their Rhapsody tour, before returning to the stadium on Sunday to headline the huge Fire Fight concert.

Hosted by Celeste Barber, Queen will join more than 24 acts at the nine-hour fundraising concert including Alice Cooper, k.d lang, Amy Shark, Delta Goodrem, Olivia Newton-John, John Farnham, Baker Boy, Lee Kernaghan, Tina Arena and more.

THE RHAPSODY TOUR

Saturday February 15

Who: Queen + Adam Lambert The Rhapsody Tour.

Gates Open: 6.30pm

Set time: Queen + Adam Lambert: 8.30pm

Concert concludes: Approx 10.45pm

FIRE FIGHT AUSTRALIA

Sunday February 16

Who: Queen + Adam Lambert, 5 Seconds of Summer, Alice Cooper, Baker Boy, Hilltop hoods and more.

Gates Open: 12.15pm

First act: 1pm

Concert concludes: Approx 10.30pm

GETTING THERE

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and leave additional time for the security screening process when entering the Stadium.

Tickets to Saturday’s Queen gig and Sunday’s Fire Fight concert cover return travel on public transport including Sydney Trains, Sydney Olympic Park major event buses and regular bus services, Ferry services and Light Rail services.

Just present concert ticket or proof of purchase to transport staff.

TAXIS AND RIDE SHARE

The nearest taxi rank to ANZ Stadium is Herb Elliott Ave near the Pullman

Hotel. 

A ride share pick up zone will be operating from the P6 car park, corner of

Australia Ave and Murray Rose Ave.

People picking up passengers after the concert are encouraged to organise a location outside of the precinct as road closures and large crowds will make access difficult.

BAG SIZES

For Queen, small bags and backpacks should be no bigger than 20cm x 30cm.

For Fire Fight, bags can be no larger than 30cm x 40cm.

All bags will be checked by security.

There are no cloaking facilities.

FOOD AND DRINK 

Concertgoers can bring their own food and drinks.

Glass, cans and metal containers are not permitted.

Cooler bags must meet the bag size above.

Water refill stations will be in the arena and level 1.

Free drinking water is available from all bars. 

Re-usable cups are available for $2 which can be returned at the end for $1 refund.

Food trucks, pop-up stalls and more than 20 cafes, bars and restaurants will be open both before and after events.

WEATHER

The Bureau is forecasting a partly cloudy weekend with the chance of showers on

both Saturday and Sunday. The shows will play rain or shine. The only exception

would be severe weather.

WHAT TO BRING

Concert tickets. You will also need these for public transport.

Sunscreen and hat, jacket, waterproof poncho.

Umbrellas are not permitted.

FIRST AID

Medical crews will be present inside the Stadium to attend to any problems, no

matter how big or small. Please see Stadium staff for assistance.

MONEY

EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities are available at most Food and Beverage outlets.

but ATMs are limited on level 1 of the stadium. Bringing cash is advisable.

Ticketek is the ONLY authorised ticketing agent for these events. To

ensure you don’t end up with invalid tickets, do not buy them through any

unauthorised resellers such as Viagogo, Ticketmaster Resale, Tickets, eBay,

Gumtree, Tickets Australia, Ticket Merchant, Ticket Blaster, Ticket Bis,

Queenoftickets, etc.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

A high NSW Police and Security presence will be in place for the concerts, both

inside and outside the stadium.
