Burger Urge opens second store at Stockland Cairns shopping centre

A popular eatery which has been voted by Cairns Post readers as one of the Far North’s best burger venues has now opened a second restaurant.

A POPULAR burger restaurant on the north side of Cairns has opened a new venue in a major shopping centre.

Far North businessmen Pat and Tom Whyte have opened their second Burger Urge franchise located at Stockland Cairns, following the success of the first restaurant in Smithfield.

Cairns Post readers this week voted Burger Urge Smithfield as one of the region’s top-three burger venues.

“The community has been so supportive over the past few years that we’ve been able to expand the business to include another restaurant at Stockland Cairns,” Tom said.

“We’ve just launched a new vegetarian and vegan range which includes seven new burger options to choose from.

“We’re confident that customers will love the variety of burgers available and the high quality of our products, which includes free range chicken and eggs and 100 per cent Australian grass fed beef.

Stockland Cairns manager Malcolm Miller said the centre was pleased to welcome Burger Urge into its dining line-up.

“The locally owned and operated business will add a new gourmet burger option for customers at the centre, further diversifying the wide range of foods currently on offer,” he said.

The restaurant is now open and trading until 9pm every day.
