For the first time since the opening round of the season, CDRL leaders Atherton have been beaten.
Atherton, who had won eight games straight since losing to Innisfail back in May, fell 36-26 to Ivanhoes in a game that lived up to its heavyweight billing.
Meanwhile, Ivanhoes have pulled off a nervy 12-10 victory over Atherton in a fiery reserve grade clash.

Atherton have kicked off a huge day for the club against Ivanhoes with an impressive 40-8 U18s CDRL win.
The win consolidates their stranglehold on top spot and sends third-placed Ivanhoes back to the drawing board.

Two of the Cairns District Rugby League’s best teams will collide in an early finals preview at Smithfield Sporting Complex on Saturday.
Ivanhoe Knights (5-3) have climbed their way back up the CDRL ladder after a slow start, and have quickly shown they can thrive under new coach Lindsay Styles.
Injuries have impacted the A-grade side but a club-first mentality has been behind their push into the top five.
They enter this weekend on the back of a 36-12 loss to third-placed Mossman-Port Douglas Sharks, and the job doesn’t get any easier when they take on league-leading Atherton.
The Roosters have won eight of their nine games to date and have the best defence in the competition.
Allowing less the 15 points per game, Atherton have all the momentum rolling into this round 11 clash.
The action kicks off with another belter, as the undefeated U18 Roosters look to extend their perfect start to the season against third-placed Ivanhoes.
And in reserve grade, the defending premiers Ivanhoes are on top of the table and will face a seventh-placed Atherton side.
